These online sessions are available to anyone over 18 and living in Mendip/Somerset and provide a relaxed, safe and supportive environment to explore ways to stay well. Each session will include information on specific topics, time for discussion relating to the topics covered and more generally an opportunity to meet and speak with others in the community.
The groups we are offering are….
Managing Stress & Anxiety – 6 Sessions
Mondays 10.30am -12.30pm Online via Zoom
This six-week online peer group provides an opportunity for individuals to gain an understanding of stress & anxiety, explore their own triggers and provide helpful tools to manage those times when stress & anxiety are present. It is open to anyone over the age of 18 years old living in the Mendip area.
Week 1 – Introduction – What is Stress & Anxiety?
Week 2 – What are the physical signs of anxiety and why do we have them?
Week 3 – How can our thoughts impact our anxiety?
Week 4 – How stressed am I at the moment & what can I do to reduce it?
Week 5 – What is worry?
Week 6 – What have I learnt? Next steps.
Each session will include time for discussion around that week’s theme in a friendly and supportive group.
How to Support Your Own Wellbeing – 6 Sessions
Mondays 2.00pm – 4.00pm Online via Zoom
This six-week online peer group focuses on practical steps that we can take to improve and maintain our wellbeing. It includes trying different activities during the session and ideas for techniques to try in your own time. . It is open to anyone over the age of 18 years old living in the Mendip area.

Week 2 – The 5 Ways to Wellbeing
Week 3 – Mood & Food
Week 4 – Sleep
Week 5 – Mindfulness & Relaxation
Week 6 – What have I learnt and what do I want to do next?
Each session will include discussions around that week’s topic in a friendly and supportive group.
Coping with Change; Strategies to grow resilience – 6 Sessions
Wednesdays 10.30am -12.30pm Online via Zoom
Change is a part of life. One of the secrets of living well is to learn to handle the changes coming our way by becoming more resilient. We can grow our resilience through understanding how we think, feel and behave and moving towards more positive mindsets. This six-week course will explore a different aspect of resilience each week and encourage involvement to make it relevant to you personally and as a group.
Week 1. Resilience….what is it?
Week 2. Emotional intelligence….why it matters
Week 3. Understanding emotions….self regulation
Week 4 Mindfulness…a tool to see us through
Week 5 Thinking styles….creating a more positive mindset
Week 6. Navigating your change to move forward.
Shared Reading & Self-Care Tuesdays 2pm – 3.30pm
Synopsis – An online group via Zoom. Alternating between a week of shared reading and a week exploring how we can improve and maintain our wellbeing through self-care.
