FREE Mental Health First Aid Distance Learning Programme
There is still time to register for our FREE Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health course.
The course will take place by a 2 hour Webinar on Tuesday the 21st April 11-1pm with a follow up assessment at a time to suit you.
This course will provide you with the knowledge to identify suspected mental health conditions and the skills to start a conversation surrounding mental health.
The course is free for anyone living in Somerset aged 18+ and is funded by SS&L.

We’ve worked with the Federation of Small Businesses, and with people in smaller workplaces across the UK, to create some free online training to build employee confidence in thinking and talking about mental health.
The eLearning includes three modules, which take about 20 minutes to complete: building your awareness, looking after yourself and supporting each other.
If you’re an employer or manager, there is also a free PDF guide full of tips and advice on how to share with your staff.

Virtual Lunch and Learn sessions for Business.
Are you looking for a way to bring your team together – even if they are working remotely?
We are now able to offer our Lunch and Learn sessions remotely via webinar.
These sessions, which last around 45 mins, are designed for any organisation that wants to gain an insight into Mind in Somerset and promote awareness of mental health. The talk covers the services we provide, an understanding of what mental health is and how to start a conversation around this topic.
The webinar is FREE with a suggested, optional donation to Mind in Somerset.

HOBURNE’s Rebecca gets crafty for Mind in Somerset
Hoburne Holiday Park in Blue Anchor have chosen Mind in Somerset as their Charity of the Year. In these challenging times, their staff are discovering imaginative ways to continue to fundraise even though the holiday park is closed. This is the marvellous Rebecca who is fundraising via a ‘Crafty Costume Project’ inspired by her love of online gaming. If you can – please donate to help her to smash her target! Good luck Rebecca!!
WINDWHISTLE INN takes it’s Pub quiz on line
Throughout April the Windwhistle Inn near Chard are moving their always popular Sunday quiz night online.
John the Quiz will be testing everyone’s general knowledge via Facebook live and has kindly set up a Just Giving page for our charity of the month.
Entry to the quiz is FREE so get a team together and give it a go!
