About the event

The UK charity sector estimates it will lose £4 billion in income as a result of the pandemic (source: National Council of Voluntary Organisations CEO Karl Wilding).

With hundreds of events postponed due to the pandemic, thousands of charities have had to reduce or stop services at a time when vulnerable members of society need them most.

The 2.6 Challenge is a simple way for people of all ages and abilities to help save the UK’s charities on Sunday 26 April. Your challenge could be as simple as pledging to run 2.6 miles

as your daily exercise to doing 26 minutes of juggling non-stop.

How to get involved

There’s no need to be a marathon runner to take part, this is a challenge for all ages and abilities. We’re not looking for superheroes, we’re looking for Home Heroes.

All you need to do is dream up an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 that suits your skills and complete it on or from Sunday 26 April.

There are no rules, apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time. The main thing is to get active, have fun and help support UK’s charities.

Join The 2.6 Challenge and select Mind in Somerset as your chosen charity.

Help us inspire the nation by sharing your pictures or videos on social media. Use the hashtag #TwoPointSixChallenge to be part of the campaign.

How we’ll support you

When you register your place with Mind you will receive a welcome email and a welcome pack with lots of support and advice on how to raise vital funds through your challenge.

You will also have support from our amazing Events Team with any questions you may have.

Any questions?

You can send us an email using the link below, or give us a call on 0300 999 3887 and we’ll be more than happy to help.

Mind in Somerset

After a year nobody expected where so many have faced isolation and loss, two producers have put their own stories and struggles into a moving, energising new pop track.

‘Sometimes' is the new uplifting and inspiring song produced By James Hoare & Ben Banjo Field, Featuring the Vocals of the amazing Duke Al & Rachel Allen.

It would be amazing if you could support Mind in Somerset by listening, sharing & donating! You would be really making a difference, as we believe that this song can uplift spirits during these tough times.

Mind in Somerset

We are blown away by the incredible James Hoare Music and collaborators who have created this beautiful track Sometimes.
“We want to help young people who’re struggling and we want to inspire them through music.
“Most importantly, we want to get them talking! Especially men who are reluctant to open up as they think it’s macho to suffer in silence.”
They have all had their own mental health struggles and want to encourage people to talk and get support. Sometimes is being used to raise funds for Mind in Somerset if you would like to donate please click on the link below.
