
Dr Alexander Priest, Chief Executive
Alex studied for a degree and PhD in Chemistry at Oxford University where he designed anti-cancer drugs using Artificial Intelligence computing. He then moved on to promote inner-city apprenticeships as head of an educational charity in the City of London. Finally, he jumped from a successful career in Intellectual Property Law to become Chief Executive of Mind in his home county of Somerset, where he now farms with his family.

Andrew Pritchard, Chief Operating Officer
While studying psychology at UCL, Andy worked for the then Westminster Association for Mental Health (now Westminster Mind), working first for the Flexicare Befriending Project and then managing the DRIVE open access support service in North Westminster. Andy returned to his native Somerset in 2007 to manage Mindline Somerset, and is now Chief Operations Officer for Mind in Somerset. He delivers Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills training.

Alison M, Somerset Mind Influence & Participation Lead
Alison is a much valued member of Mind in Somerset and fulfils various roles within the organisation including general administration, campaigning for better understanding of Mental Health issues as a Time To Change Champion and represents South West Minds at the National Mind steering group for Influence & Participation.

Aden Watkins, Operations Manager - Sedgemoor
Aden oversees our support for all service users within Sedgemoor.

Alison works with organisations across Somerset raising awareness of the importance of good mental health in the workplace. She also encourages businesses to support us through fundraising, sponsorship and volunteering
